We’ve had more bad news in the book world lately: From 2025-2026, schools grew their list of banned books to nearly 12,000. The growing movement to ban books is a truly concerning trend, one that we here at WTD Press stand against—and one we’ll write about more.  Today, we’ll examine the trend through the lens of one of the newest books to receive the banned book badge of honor: Charlotte Brönte’s Jane Eyre.
